Your connectivity quotient

Imagine a string about 12 inches long. Now imagine you tie a knot in the middle of the string. Would you think that you had just created a fishing net? I don't think so. Now imagine going 2/3 of the way down each side starting at the knot in the middle. Tie another knot on each side at that point.

Now do you have a fishing net? Not yet. Tie the loose ends together to make a triangle out of the string with a knot at each corner.

Now do you have a fishing net? Um, no, but it is getting a little closer.

Now, take your triangle and two little pieces of string and tie two of your knots to a large net. Do you have a fishing net? YES! You could use that net to actually catch and keep fish. You are connected and now it works.

Is connectivity really a word?

Well, at first I wondered if I had just made up the word connectivity so I went to dictionary.com and looked it up. Here's what I found: "the property of being connected or the degree to which something has connections." I think the word is basically used in chemistry.

But for OUR purposes, connectivity means how well you connect others to your business and all of it's support functions.

Support functions are things like customer service, CDs and books, policies and proceedure outlines, your back office, local and national functions. All of those things can answer questions and free you up to connect with more people.

We are in the business of NETwork marketing. We are forming a net. A safety net, if you will. It is awfully hard to catch a fish with a piece of string with one knot in it. It is awfully hard to enroll new people in your business if you are operating all by yourself.

Fully connect to others and to all of your support mechanisms that are already in place and now you have formed a net that will help you and also those that you enroll.

Remember the power of 3-way call to connect your prospect and/or your new enrollee to others who have similar goals. Remember to inform your new people about their back office and local functions and conference calls. Remember to teach them how to do a 3-way call with you. It is all a part of forming the net that will allow you to expand your business quickly and help retain those that you have enrolled.

Up your connectivity quotient. Tie up your loose ends. Connect the people that you talk with and enroll to other people and to websites and phone calls, etc. Watch your business take on a life of it's own without you!
